Ceilidh Tent
The London Gathering team is well aware that no Scottish Festival would be complete with out a Ceilidh. We’ve dedicated an entire tent to bringing visitors into the heart of the dance. Spectators are welcome, joining in will definitely be encouraged. So be prepared to kick up your heals and join in!
The Invercauld Scottish Dance Band 8th Sept

The Invercauld Scottish Dance Band was formed by Lilian Linden, a pianist with many years' experience. The band’s music provides a dynamic, exciting and traditional sound, with an enjoyable atmosphere for both dancers and listeners.
For the past 10 years, Lilian and the Invercauld Scottish Dance Band have played for Scottish dances and balls, as well as for ceilidhs, weddings and reeling, with their vast repertoire of both traditional and more modern Scottish music. The Invercauld Scottish Dance Band has released a CD of Scottish music played on fiddle and piano, and also recorded two tracks on a compilation CD of Scottish Dance music. The band is based in the South of England, but has also played further afield in the UK and Europe, including Scotland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway and the Channel Islands. Kafoozalum Country Dance Band was formed in 1978 by Peter Jenkins, the accordionist with Sandra Smith (piano) and Rod Dorothy (fiddle). The caller is Malcolm Ferris-Lay. As well as providing lively music for Scottish ceilidhs, which are perfect for wedding receptions and other family celebrations, Kafoozalum play regularly for Reeling and Scottish Country Dance; the band has also made recordings for The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
